Mission

I hold a BFA in painting from Ringling College of Art + Design and an MFA in Studio Art from Memphis College of Art. Since grad school, I've worn a lot of hats professionally, but they all tie back to design and marketing. Every job I've had and every entrepreneurial effort had me leading the creative marketing efforts in order to meaningfully connect purpose with people.

I live in Connecticut with my partner and our daughter, affectionately known as The Nuggetorious. When I’m not working as a graphic and web designer, you can find me exploring new places, caring for my twenty houseplants, or binge-watching my latest TV obsession, usually something animated or dramatic.

Artist, mother, wanderer, salad connoisseur

Hi there, I'm Emma.

let's get to know each other!

To elevate the marketing efforts of purpose-driven small businesses, start-ups, and non-profit organizations with branding, photography, and digital & print design.

Who I work with (and Who I Don't)

My focus is on entities who are meaningful members of their local communities and economies: start-ups, small businesses, and smaller non-profits. I love helping young businesses and entrepreneurs, and as a former NPO worker I will always have a special place in my heart for organizations working to better their communities. My favorite collaborators are solopreneurs and local "mom & pop" businesses. Your business doesn't need to be less than ten years old to work with me, but I tend to work with younger entities. I'm not a major agency and I don't work with large corporations, franchises, or national NPOs.

i believe

I have what I like to think of as a holistic approach to art & design. Creative professionals shape the world around us and how we perceive it, and as such we carry a weighty responsibility. My design philosophy encompasses not just the way something looks and feels, but the environment and time in which it is presented to the world.
